Congratulations, you got 9/10 correct!
Could You Pass 8th Grade Math?

Yay for me. The annoying thing about this test is that it doesn't tell you what answers you got wrong. But I figured out which was my mistake (question 2). I got all the actual math questions right. Thank goodness! (Further evidence of how mighty my brain is, I did all these while talking on the phone with my wife!)

When you talk about "average," there are three types of averages: "median," "mean" and "mode." Mean is what we typically think of as "average": the sum of all of the values in a series divided by the number of values in the series. Median is the middle number in the series of numbers. Mode is the most frequently occuring number in a series. In the example in this test — 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 — 2 is the mode.
